About ASHLEY

"Think of the all-American warmth of Carrie Underwood, with the edgy but playful soulfulness of Sheryl Crow."

-Mallory Abreu, The Boston Globe

Ashley Gearing was just 12 years old in 2001, when she released her first single to country radio making her the youngest female to ever chart on the billboard charts. The county music community instantly welcomed the Springfield, MA, native when her debut song “Can You Hear Me When I Talk To You” caused a record label bidding war in Nashville to sign the young artist. Eleven years old at the time, she signed with Disney’s country imprint, Lyricstreet Records which was then home Nashville trio Rascal Flatts. Her debut on the country Billboard charts gave her reign as youngest female, breaking the 46 year-old record held by Brenda Lee. Gearing still holds that record today in 2023. She spent time working with Disney but ultimately moved onto Curb Records releasing music for almost a decade where she shared a roster with Tim McGraw, JoDee Messina, Leann Rimes, & Lee Brice.

Ashley has been consistent in her music career at all stages of life, even while achieving a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business Studies and Public Relations from the famous Belmont University in Nashville after high school.

In the span of her career, Ashley has graced the stage of The Grand Opry multiple times, performed on stages ranging from Fenway Park & Park City, Utah, sharing the stage with stars like Richie Sambora, Blake Shelton, Walker Hayes, Martina McBride and Brad Paisley and all the way across the pond. In 2019, her tours have extended to Switzerland, Spain, France, Norway & Asia.

In January, 2020, Ashley was named a global ambassador by the State Department and partnered with them on a month long tour throughout Indonesia & Malaysia featured in the critically acclaimed group Farewell Angelina.

As an accomplished singer/songwriter, Ashley has collaborated with The Boston Pops and esteemed producers in Nashville such as Tim McGraw’s longtime producer Byron Gallimore and legendary Nashville musicians Chad Cromwell and Kenny Greenburg. She has been featured on several best selling Disney records for young adults, as well as various synch spots on ABC & FOX. Gearing currently is a SAG/AFTRA vocalist who often times works behind the scenes on music projects for projects in TV & FILM. She most recently was a part of the vocal team on FOX’s fall music drama Monarch starring Susan Sarandon & Trace Adkins.

In her spare time, Ashley is playing the guitar & piano, writing about her full life experiences. She is a self published songwriter affiliated with BMI Nashville.

Her strong and edgy personality is infused into every lyric of her songs but still represents the vulnerable artist she is.  She excels most when on stage in front of a crowd telling the story and meaning behind the words of the song she’s about to belt out, connecting with each audience member.

"AS A PERFORMER, ASHLEY BRINGS STYLE AND GRACE TO ANY SHOW SHE IS A PART OF. HER VOICE IS EXTRAORDINARY AND HER ABILITY TO GRACEFULLY TELL THE STORIES BEHIND HER SONGS DRAW THE AUDIENCE INTO HER PERFORMANCE, CREATING AN INTIMATE EXPERIENCE FOR ANYONE LUCKY ENOUGH TO ATTEND ONE OF HER SHOWS."

-Daniel B. Spears, Vice President, Industry Relations, BMI Licensing, Nashville
